Sensor fusion
fuse multi-source sensor and ISR data into a single coherent picture
Description
Volt4AI brings together heterogeneous sensor and ISR feeds — radar, AIS, ADS-B, satellite, and IoT sensors — into a single coherent picture, correlating and de-conflicting sources on the signed-data fabric so that the fused view carries verifiable structure and provenance. NQM has demonstrated this across maritime (the AIS and BAE INTeACT combat-system work, fusing AIS, ADS-B and OMG combat-system formats) and smart-city sensor estates.
Importance
A single coherent picture assembled from many sensors is the foundation of situational awareness; fusing trusted, provenance-bearing feeds avoids the fragmented, conflicting view that comes from siloed sources.
Benefit
- Correlates radar, AIS, ADS-B, satellite and IoT feeds into one operating picture.
- De-conflicts and tracks across sources; new sensor types added as Cortex agents.
- Built on signed data (Signed), so the fused picture is itself trustworthy.
Defence Relevance
Directly answers the DTW need to combine data sources into a coherent picture — DTW Challenge 2 (combining data sources to produce information and generate insights) and the sense step of the sense/decide/effect mission thread. Evidenced by the Royal Navy AIS friend-or-foe work built on TDX.
Civilian & Enterprise Relevance
Maritime domain awareness, air-traffic and transport monitoring, smart-city sensor fusion, and industrial-IoT condition monitoring — anywhere many feeds must become one trustworthy picture.
